My honest review of Vitamin C Suspension by The Ordinary - Read more and find out what I really think of Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% by The Ordinary.

Okay so I know I still haven’t shown myself yet (I’ll get there) but we need to talk about vitamin C, Skincare Vitamin C, well to be more precise Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% by The Ordinary.

I’ve always been a fan of vitamin C products but as you know I’m broke right now so the replenishment of non-necessities has been almost zilch.

Here’s my honest review.

My Skin

I had noticed a couple dry patches on my forehead and my left cheek bone. Don’t ask me why it’s just on one side, I’m still trying to work that mystery out. But to be honest I wasn’t impressed by the dull look of my skin either and if you have read my previous posts, you’ll know how much I love the natural healthy glowing look.

So, as you can imagine these patches were cheesing me off no end.

I just wanted to get rid of that dull look, but because I’m watching the pennies, it had to be budget friendly.
Basically, what I needed Vitamin C & fast.

What Vitamin C Does

Vitamin C gives your skin that glowing look, it reduces the signs of aging and it is full of antioxidant stuff (Yeah, I said stuff, I’m not a dermatologist).

It also brightens the skin and gets rid of that dull skin the same way we should have got rid of your shitty exes – fast, painlessly and effectively.

Obviously Vitamin C Skincare products come in various forms – cleansers, toners, wipes, serums, masks, creams, suspension. Wait what? Suspension? Okay, I’d never tried that, so I decided to give it a try.

My Choice

Eventually, I chose Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% by The Ordinary from one of my favourite sites Beauty Bay.

I chose this product because firstly I love and trust The Ordinary brand on my semi sensitive black skin.

Secondly because of its 23% vitamin C 🙌🏾 which is ideal for me, I am a ‘Go big or go home’ kind of person.

What were my other reasons?

Well, I can wear it AM or PM, it can be mixed with my favourite cream, it’s not water based so it won’t dry out my skin and it was within my budget.

For me that’s enough for me to add to my cart and try it out.

Just in case you don’t know Beauty Bay have an annual haul pass (aka next day delivery pass) deal going on at the moment and it is so worth it.

My Review

I’ll be honest as soon as it came, I gave my face a wash and tried it out straight away.

I was surprised by the beady texture; I double-checked the packaging because I thought it was a exfoliate for a sec.

False alarm, the tiny balls soon disappeared as I gently applied it to my face.

About the tingling feeling, being honest at this point I picked up my app and read the reviews out loud.  Don’t panic, this was exactly what others had experienced.

After the first use, I could see an improvement seriously and was happy.

By the 2nd and 3rd use I was like “Oh lard, yep this is the one.”

Because of this product, my skin looks brighter, glowing, tone evening out, dull patches are gone, and I look flipping good.

When I say Good, I mean Good, like I’ve been eating my fruit and veg and absorbing Vitamins, minerals and nutrients via a drip in my sleep.

My Verdict

4.5/5

Why this rating? Well because I love this shiz. The only reason this product lost half of a star is because of the smell and feeling on my hands after application.

Why don’t they have a version for my legs and bum? Because I would be on that.

Tip

If the tingling is too much for you, mix it with your regular face cream.
